  Jim retired after almost 40 years with the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF IFAS). During his tenure at UF IFAS he served in various leadership roles to include County Extension Director(s) in 3 separate Florida Counties and as the state wide Agriculture Best Management Program Coordinator for UF IFAS. His areas of expertise include Precision Agriculture and Small Atmospheric Sensing Aircraft based Technology, Agricultural Public Policy, Production Practices, Agricultural and Public Water Use, Water Conservation, Community Outreach and Engagement. His research at UF IFAS focused on the use of sensors to provide real time feedback to agriculture producers in the area of water and nutrient management.
